Wisdom From A Three-trick Pony

Before the dark age of the coronavirus, I've gotten into a couple of different hobbies.

Specifically,

1. Photography: It all started when I took a film photography class in college. I fell in love with it despite the long, manual film development process and painful trial and errors of printing the photos.

2. Music production: This was more of a spontaneous idea. At first, I wanted to give up photography and pursue this instead because I felt music would have more of an emotional impact on people than photography. In the end, I thought it didn't make sense to give up one over the other, so I decided to choose both.

3. Dance: My school club holds their 'signature' event every semester. I decided to join the club's dance crew and learned the choreography for our performance.

With these new hobbies, whenever I met new people, I felt like I was able to connect with more people than I normally would. Now you might be asking, why am I sharing this?

Well for one, I thought it'd be a good chance to share some things about myself. Just talking about business all day gets boring.

And two, there's a lesson behind this.

When you have multiple skillsets under your belt, you'll be able to help people more than the one trick ponies can.

Take myself for example, I'm more than just an email copywriter. I also have experience with SEO, Facebook Ads, and WordPress web development. So I'm able to help people with more than just their email marketing campaigns.

With multiple skills at your fingertips:

You'll be able to help people more than just with your flagship product or service.

People will see you as more versatile, and therefore....

You can position myself to be more valuable.

Nowadays, you can learn new skills quickly and easily with the resources the Internet provides. Two of the best ones out there are: Udemy and Skillshare.

And no they're not affiliate links. Sadly, they rejected me. *Sheds a tear*

That's all for now.
